Tuesday will be blustery and cold with scattered snow showers. Highs will be in the 30s, with wind chills in the teens and 20s.<\/p>\n

Quiet and milder weather returns to the forecast on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the 40s and low 50s.<\/p>\n

Temperatures will turn even warmer late week with highs in the 60s.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Hochul launches significant effort to fill potholes, repave roads across New York<\/a><\/p>\n

The governor\u2019s office said during the month of April, 215 crews will place more than 8,000 tons of asphalt to fill what is estimated to be 175,000 potholes around New York.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Hochul: Length of expected second state budget extender still being determined<\/a><\/p>\n

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she\u2019s still deciding how long a second state budget extender should be as lawmakers remained out of town on Monday. The current extension,\u00a0passed on March 31,\u00a0runs through Tuesday to keep government funding flowing and state workers paid. The budget was due April 1.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0To combat homelessness in New York, SU students volunteer with local organization<\/a><\/p>\n

To help combat the problems that people transitioning out of homelessness face, Syracuse University School of Design students partnered with A Tiny Home for Good founder Andrew Lunetta.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Liverpool schools look to adopt final budget<\/a><\/p>\n

The district said last month that it is currently operating under a roughly $13 million deficit as it tries to balance the budget.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Study examines how young boys are being exposed to gambling in their favorite video games<\/a><\/p>\n

A study by Common Sense Media found adolescent boys are being lured into gambling with 36% of boys aged 11 to 17 saying they had gambled in the past year. It\u2019s happening on their favorite video games, and in ways we might not expect.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Trump warns Iran ‘could be taken out in one night’ if no deal by Tuesday<\/a><\/p>\n

President Donald Trump on Monday pledged to carry out widespread strikes against bridges, power plants and more in Iran if Tehran does not reach a deal with his administration by his 8 p.m. deadline Tuesday, declaring it would take just hours to decimate the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Good evening, Central New York.
