LINDEN, New Jersey (WABC) — Nearly 20 cars were vandalized in the parking lot of an apartment building in Linden, New Jersey on Monday, and several more were reportedly found in Cranford.<\/p>\n

Police say 19 vehicles were vandalized at Brookside Gardens on South Wood Avenue in Linden sometime between 3:30 and 4 a.m.<\/p>\n

Detectives believe that a single suspect is responsible for the damage, as well as similar crimes in other parts of the city, and in other towns throughout Union County.<\/p>\n

The Cranford Police Department said they took about seven criminal mischief reports involving vehicles with smashed windshields near Cayuga Road and Centennial Avenue.<\/p>\n

Police in both Linden and Cranford say they are investigating these incidents.<\/p>\n
