A new facility in East New York is helping unhoused women find safe places to live.<\/p>\n
\tHELP Women’s Center, located at 114 Snediker Ave., officially opened last month. The 60,000-square-foot intake assessment center has 200 beds and state-of-the-art services, including computer and art therapy rooms.<\/p>\n
\tThe city’s Department of Social Services partnered with HELP USA to make the purpose-built facility a reality. It’s the first one of its kind in the city and the first time a nonprofit is running a city intake center.<\/p>\n
