The death of an 18-year-old\u00a0Queens\u00a0woman, apparently killed at the hands of her boyfriend<\/a> in a gruesome\u00a0murder-suicide,<\/a>\u00a0has left the victim\u2019s family in the\u00a0Dominican Republic\u00a0shattered, according to a local news outlet. \u201cThis has been a massive shock for the family,\u201d victim Keyriana Jimenez Rodriguez\u2019s father, Kelvin Adri\u00e1n Jim\u00e9nez, told\u00a0Info\u00a0El Nuevo Norte<\/a>\u00a0in Spanish. The girl\u2019s grandmother<\/a>,\u00a0Adriana de la Cruz, said in Spanish that she \u201cabsolutely adored\u201d Rodriguez, whom she remembered as \u201cmore than a granddaughter, like a daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t have the strength to say much. I was crazy about that girl and she was crazy about me,\u2019 she continued.\"keyrianaGoFundMe<\/p>\n

Rodriguez was reportedly living in\u00a0the United States\u00a0with her mother. Neighbors said they thought the boyfriend had been living with his father and two brothers, but were unsure whether the couple lived together.<\/p>\n

An online fundraiser was created Wednesday to benefit Rodriguez\u2019s family and pay her funeral expenses. \u201cKeyriana will be remembered for her light, her spirit, and the love she left behind in every person who had the privilege of knowing her,\u201d the\u00a0GoFundMe post read.<\/a><\/p>\n

Rodriguez and her 20-year-old boyfriend were found dead in an\u00a084th St.\u00a0apartment near\u00a034th Ave.<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Jackson Heights\u00a0around\u00a01:50 a.m. Wednesday, cops said.<\/p>\n

In the moments before they were killed, witnesses overheard arguing, followed by several shots being fired, according to a law enforcement source.\"RedJosiah S\/iStock<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were always fighting. It was terrible,\u201d said a 63-year-old neighbor, who asked that her name be withheld. \u201cThey would shout awful things at one another. Everyone could hear. It was continual.\u201d<\/p>\n

The boyfriend\u2019s 19-year-old brother, who was in another room at their sixth-floor apartment, and a neighbor called 911 after hearing the shots.<\/p>\n

Police believe the man shot his girlfriend, then turned the gun on himself. The man\u2019s name was not immediately released.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had serious problems with his girlfriend. He couldn\u2019t contain his emotions,\u201d said a 65-year-old neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous. \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe it because he said he was happy he had just found a job.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI only met his girlfriend once or twice,\u201d he added. \u201cShe seemed nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

The city medical examiner will conduct autopsies on Rodriguez and her boyfriend to determine their cause of death.<\/p>\n

The murder weapon along with bullets were recovered by cops from the scene.<\/p>\n
