That set up a big rally in the bottom of the fifth. Caitlan Bland and Danslen started the inning with singles to set up a three-run Aaliyah Chaisson home run. Kaydence hit a solo shot on the back of it to extend the lead to 5-0.<\/p>\n
Bibb County got on the board with an RBI groundout in the top of the sixth, but Kaydence hit her second-straight home run, a two-run shot off a Danslen triple for the 7-1 lead.<\/p>\n
The Choctaws saved their longest rally for the seventh inning in a bid to steal the game. A walk and an error put two on with one out, and Bibb County scored a run off an RBI double. While Richardson recorded her second strikeout of the inning afterwards, a three-run home run cut the gap to 7-5.<\/p>\n
Another walk extended the game, and Richardson intentionally walked the next batter to leave two on with two outs. She finished strong with another strikeout to end the scoring threat and the game.<\/p>\n
Richardson finished with 19 strikeouts in seven innings, allowing just two hits, four walks and one hit batter. Just two of the five runs she faced were earned.<\/p>\n
Kaydence and Danslen Connell each finished 3-for-4, as Kaydence had three RBI and three runs off her two home runs and Danslen scored two runs.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats improved to 11-2 with the win. They can take their win streak past the one-month mark with a win on Thursday, April 9 at 4:30 p.m. on the road against the B.B.
