Mayor Zohran Mamdani is throwing a massive event to mark his first 100 days in office \u2014 and thousands of New York City teachers and other municipal employees are invited.<\/p>\n
Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels<\/a> sent the invitation to educators in a \u201cDear Colleagues\u201d letter Tuesday, letting them know about Mamdani\u2019s plan to deliver a \u201c100 Day Address\u201d on Sunday evening at the Knockdown Center in Queens.<\/p>\n \u201cThe progress made during this time has only been possible because of the dedication and hard work of City workers across agencies,\u201d Samuels wrote. \u201cTo recognize these contributions, City employees are invited to express interest in attending.\u201d<\/p>\n Mayor Mamdani is holding an event at the Knockdown Center in Queens on Sunday to mark his first 100 days in office. James Keivom for NY Post<\/p>\n The letter provided a link to an application form to attend the event, with an RSVP deadline of 5 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease note that submitting the form does not guarantee attendance. If interest exceeds capacity, invitations will be distributed by lottery to ensure representation across agencies,\u201d Samuels said.<\/p>\n The celebration at the concert venue in Maspeth is an \u201cinvitation-only event, and invitations are non-transferable,\u201d the letter noted.<\/p>\n Confirmed guests will receive a formal invitation with full event details from the mayor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n Those already volunteering for the event need not apply, the chancellor said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe team looks forward to seeing you there!\u201d Samuels said.<\/p>\n A \u201cDays of a New Era\u201d sign at a Mamdani event at the Hall of Science in Queens on April 1, 2026.
