A Manhattan Beach home held in a trust tied to Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight found a buyer after 25 days on the market.<\/p>\n

Listed March 12 for $8.5 million, the three-story residence went contingent April 6 \u2014 a status indicating the sale is under contract but not yet finalized. According to the Redfin listing, the sellers are still accepting backup offers.<\/p>\n

The interior features five bedrooms, six bathrooms and an open-plan living space merging the kitchen with the dining and living rooms.\u00a0A walk-in pantry, a center island with seating and a breakfast nook complement the kitchen, which leads to a built-in barbecue outdoors.<\/p>\n

An elevator serves every floor, and upper levels capture ocean views stretching toward Palos Verdes. Located in the city\u2019s Sand Section, the home sits on a rare sidewalk-lined street near the beach, Manhattan Beach Pier, shops and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Recent upgrades to the primary suite include an enhanced spa-inspired shower.<\/p>\n

An office and a three-car garage round out the property.<\/p>\n

If the transaction finalizes, the swift sale will stand in stark contrast to a broader cooling trend in the neighborhood. Redfin data<\/a> shows February Sand Section home prices fell 29% from the same time last year to a median of $3.3 million. While the median price per square foot for the area rose 6% to $1,730 during the same period, homes stayed on the market for an average of 182 days, up from 112 days a year ago. There were 16 homes sold in February, down from 29 last year.<\/p>\n

Allie Lutz of The Agency<\/a> and Yuliya Dudenko of Coldwell Banker Realty<\/a> represent the seller.<\/p>\n

While a trust technically owns the house, a deed viewed at PropertyShark reveals Voight, 87, and longtime friend Bonnie Paul, 64, previously owned the property in their names. The signed legal document dated Feb. 16, 2024 identifies them as \u201chusband and wife,\u201d a status that could not be separately verified.<\/p>\n

A separate deed to a Beverly Hills home transferring ownership from Voight to the duo and recorded Feb. 20, 2024, also identifies them as \u201chusband and wife.\u201d This designation contradicts Voight\u2019s IMDB biography, which lists no marriage since his 1980 divorce from his second wife, Marcheline Bertrand, the late mother of actress Angelina Jolie.<\/p>\n

Records show the pair transferred ownership to the Ocean Waves Trust in February 2024, with Bonnie Paul as the trustee.<\/p>\n

Bonnie Paul, a singer-songwriter and mother of Voight\u2019s goddaughter, actress Skyler Shaye, directs tax statements to SP Media Group. The Los Angeles-based entertainment company belongs to her brother, filmmaker Steven Paul, who serves as Voight\u2019s longtime manager.<\/p>\n

Steven Paul is expanding his professional partnership with Voight, producing the actor who won the 1979 Oscar for his portrayal of a paralyzed Vietnam veteran in \u201cComing Home.\u201d Their current slate of projects includes the 2025 action-thriller \u201cThe Last Gunfight\u201d and the feature film \u201cThe Last Firefighter.\u201d The latter film, which also stars Kelsey Grammer, is scheduled for release later this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Roses frame the entry patio to this 4,728-square-foot house.
