Lulu is out there like she pays rent on that ledge.<\/p>\n The whole situation is terrifying, and it seems that it likely happened because someone left a window open during an apartment showing. One of the safest options is to take your cat<\/a> with you during showings, even if it’s a short trip.<\/p>\n If that is not possible, keep your kitty in a secure room or a kennel with food, water, and a litter box. A clearly closed space helps prevent accidents when strangers are coming in and out.<\/p>\n Make sure your cat is microchipped and wearing identification, just in case. And always communicate directly with your realtor<\/a>. Let them know you have a cat and be very clear that all windows and doors must stay closed.<\/p>\n Because, as this video proves, it only takes one small mistake for things to get very scary, very fast.
