Two ISIS-inspired bombing suspects<\/a> were caught musing about blowing up white supremacist Jake Lang and maiming up to 60 victims \u2014 both cops and civilians \u2014 in dashcam footage from their car ride to an anti-Muslim protest outside Gracie Mansion last month, according to a bombshell indictment.<\/p>\n

Emir Balat,<\/a> 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, were indicted on Tuesday for allegedly hurling two homemade incendiary devices in an ISIS-inspired March 7 attack during the dueling protests outside Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s official residence.<\/p>\n

The two homegrown terrorists were caught on footage \u2014 from a built-in dashboard camera on their car ride from Pennsylvania to Manhattan \u2014 casually chatting about how they planned to target Lang, who organized the hateful rally, and hoped he would be \u201csplit in half\u201d in the bombing attack.<\/p>\n

The pair also discussed how they wished for maximum casualties \u2014 and their chilling backup plan to toss the explosives in a caf\u00e9 if all else failed, according to court documents.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAll I know is I want to start terror, bro,\u201d Kayumi allegedly said in the recording, per the indictment. \u201cI want to petrify these people.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah, what do you think, are they going to remove the airplanes for us\u2026 over New York? Are they going to stop them? If we do the attack and the bombs go off and everything,\u201d Balat then asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst call, they\u2019re going to be like this is us targeting [Individual-1],\u201d Kayumi responded. The \u201cindividual-1\u201d is referencing Lang, a right-wing agitator and pardoned January 6 rioter,<\/a> law enforcement sources said. <\/p>\n

Balat then explained that he was also hoping to target \u201cthe government\u201d and \u201ccivilians also,\u201d to which Kayumi replied, \u201cYeah, I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then detailed how he had put a specific amount of Triacetone triperoxide, an explosive known as \u201cTATP,\u201d to kill roughly 8 to 16 people or as many as 60 people if the area was crowded. <\/p>\n

After the two discussed how they planned to hide the bomb and flee back to the car, Balat said he just \u201ccan\u2019t wait for that bomb to go off and his [Lang\u2019s] freaking head, his body to get split in half, bro, dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBro, this is so cool,\u201d Kayumi allegedly calmly responded. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna just start attacking police,\u201d Balat added, later stating that if their primary plan \u201cdoesn\u2019t work,\u201d they \u201ccould also throw it [a device] in the caf\u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kayumi and Balat allegedly lobbed the deadly munitions at the crowd of protesters and counter-protesters, but the IED\u2019s miraculously did not detonate. Heroic police officers tackled Balat and arrested the pair upon spotting the bombs. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t a religion that just stands when people talk bad about\u2026 our prophet. We take action! We take action!\u201d Balat allegedly told officers en route to the precinct. \u201cIf I don\u2019t do it, someone else will come and do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teen also admitted to police in the precinct that he had consumed \u201cradical content\u201d online.<\/p>\n

A search of the car they traveled in, which was registered to a relative, revealed a notebook filled with bomb-making instructions and an alternative plan for a terrorist attack involving a large vehicle. <\/p>\n

In an FBI search of a storage facility in Langhorne, Pa., agents also discovered explosive residue and bombmaking supplies. <\/p>\n

In the center of the storage unit was a piece of paper with a chilling, ISIS-inspired handwritten note saying \u201cAll praise is due to Allah!!! [D]ie in your rage ya kuffar!\u201d<\/p>\n

Balat and Kayumi are now being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on federal charges. AP<\/p>\n

\u201cThese individuals allegedly prepared explosive devices and attempted to detonate them on the streets of New York in the name of ISIS, but their plan failed thanks to the brave police officers who acted quickly,\u201d FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement. <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cThe FBI and our law enforcement partners are determined to protect the homeland from terrorism or other acts of violence, and our partnerships are key to carrying out that mission,\u201d Patel said. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe also will make sure anyone who tries to harm our citizens in the name of ISIS, or any other terrorist organization, will face justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Balat\u2019s attorney, Mehdi Essimidi, declined to comment on the indictment when reached by The Post on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The public defenders representing Kayumi did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
