I\u2019m here to help my building the best way I know how, and get as much information as I can to help fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">PIX11 News asked the Mamdani Administration what they\u2019ve learned from the hearings and how it will help tenants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Julie Su, the Deputy Mayor for Economic Justice, said \u201cYou really see the myriad ways that people get cheated, get scammed, and are more and more vulnerable, and sometimes policy is chasing those kinds of scams, and we really wanted to listen to make sure we could get ahead of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Cea Weaver, the Director of the Mayor\u2019s Office to Protect Tenants, told PIX 11 News, \u201cI\u2019m also learning so much about the ways in which non-rent fees are being added onto rent bills, that really is something that is new and something we\u2019re starting to see for the first time in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">What can you expect next?<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Mayor\u2019s Office said it will release a report within 90 days, along with a set of recommendations to address the issues it has heard.
