Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a> once complained in secret diaries about his flailing sex life with his second wife and his struggles with \u201clust demons\u201d \u2014 griping that no matter how much he had in life, he was always hunting for \u201cmore.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kennedy scion\u2019s bombshell private musings about his relationship with Mary Richardson Kennedy<\/a>, who killed herself in 2012 amid their looming divorce, are among a trove of inside details about their marriage that are laid bare in a new biography\u00a0by ace New York Post investigative reporter Isabel Vincent titled \u201cRFK, Jr.: The Fall and Rise.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Kennedy\u2019s diary entries, which are said to have been written in 2001<\/a>, were taken and hidden by Richardson as \u201cinsurance\u201d in the final months of her life \u2014 just as the couple\u2019s divorce proceedings were turning sour, the tome said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been given everything that any person could wish for: A beautiful wife and kids and loving family, wealth, education and good health and job I love. And yet I\u2019m always on the lookout for something I can\u2019t have to wreck it all,\u201d wrote Kennedy \u2014 now Secretary of Health and Human Services<\/a> under President Trump \u2014 in one entry.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter how much I have, I want more!\u201d he said, underlining the word \u201cmore\u201d several times.<\/p>\n

At one point, Kennedy \u2014 a notorious cheater throughout the troubled couple\u2019s 18-year marriage \u2014 also touched on their lackluster sex life.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur bed is an unfriendly place,\u201d Kennedy wrote of the mother of four of his six kids. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe hates it when I go to bed with her, and will never have sex at night. She rarely speaks to me of anything but scheduling.\u201d<\/p>\n

The diary entries were obtained by Vincent a year after Richardson, who battled depression<\/a> and was an alcoholic<\/a>, took her own life in May 2012.<\/p>\n

In the forthcoming biography, Vincent writes that those close to Richardson blamed her depression, in part, on her husband\u2019s philandering.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

\u201cHe definitely gaslit her and told her that she was crazy and that her accusations about other women were fantasies,\u201d said a source who was close to Richardson.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was innocent and naive, but she drank, which was classic in the sense of being in pain a lot of the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the forthcoming biography, Vincent writes that those close to Richardson blamed her depression, in part, on her husband\u2019s philandering.\u00a0 DMI<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t clear when Richardson became aware that her husband, whom she tied the knot with in 1994, started cheating, according to the biography.<\/p>\n

Still, Richardson was adamant about being a good wife, a source recalled. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe was just 200% invested in being his wife and living the Kennedy lifestyle,\u201d said an insider who treated Richardson for depression.<\/p>\n

Another source added, \u201cThe notion that she would stop being a Kennedy was scary to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Kennedy eventually told his wife on Mother\u2019s Day 2010 that he wanted to file for divorce, she was arrested twice for drunken driving.<\/p>\n

In the days that followed, Richardson pored over her husband\u2019s diaries in a desperate attempt to reassure herself she\u2019d been married to a \u201cchronic philanderer\u201d for nearly two decades, the book said.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Richardson hanged herself at the couple\u2019s \u00adestate in tony Bedford, Westchester County.<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s divorce hadn\u2019t yet been finalized when she was found dead amid arguments about the custody of their kids and finances. <\/p>\n

After Richardson\u2019s death, Kennedy went on to marry TV\u2019s \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm\u201d actress Cheryl Hines<\/a> in 2014.<\/p>\n
