The seller was an LLC tied to SYU Properties, and the buyer was an entity linked to Secure Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfc6 Residential: Jessica Cannon and Frank Hanley scooped up a condo at 768 Fifth Avenue, the Plaza Condominium and Residences, for $6.9 million. The sellers were Steven and Kay Theede. The 2,400-square-foot pad has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Its last asking price was $8.5 million. Compass\u2019 Charlie Attias, Brooke Winsness and Connor Ramage had the listing.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcca Commercial: For just under $15 million, three commercial condo units changed hands at 217 West 25th Street in Chelsea. The seller was furniture company L. &amp; J.G. Stickley, and the buyer was an affiliate of the Community Church of New York.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcca Residential: In Sheepshead Bay, a 3,000-square-foot, two-family home at 2209 Ocean Parkway changed hands for $6.6 million or about $2,200 per square foot. The seller was a trust tied to the Franco family, which had owned the property for decades. The buyer was an LLC named after the address.<\/p>\n<p>By the Numbers: <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/data\/articles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Here\u2019s how NYC\u2019s top residential agents, teams fared in 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the Big Apple\u2019s housing market, 2025 was a banner year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Home sales were seemingly little affected \u2014 especially on the luxury front \u2014 by the economic uncertainty and mayoral race that marked much of last year. Sales volumes and deal counts were up on both the resale and new development sides of the market, according to an analysis of city sale records by The Real Deal.<\/p>\n<p>On the new development front, the top 50 agents and teams that focused on the sales of newly built homes took in nearly $6.7 billion of deals across 1,987 sales. That was up from $5.2 billion in 2024, across 1,647 deals.<\/p>\n<p>On the resale side, there were 1,594 deals in 2025, up from 1,262 the year before.
