The New York Giants<\/a> are expecting Malik Nabers to participate in on-field activities closer to the start of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

Nabers tore his ACL in the Giants<\/a>‘ 21-18 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 of the 2025 season. The LSU product finished the year with 271 receiving yards. Nabers was the Giants’ 1,000-yard receiver in 2024, when he posted 1,204 yards.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old arrived at the Giants’ voluntary offseason program on Tuesday, after rumors surfaced last February about the progress he had publicized during his recovery process.<\/p>\n

Phase One of the offseason program, which involves meetings as well as strength and conditioning, precedes on-field activities that begin in Phase Two.<\/p>\n

Giants coach John Harbaugh said at his press conference on Tuesday that the team expects Nabers to be “more into training camp” as the season approaches. That was his prognosis for when the former No. 6 overall pick from the 2024 draft will ramp up on-field activity.<\/p>\n

“(Cam Skattebo) is probably going to be ahead of Malik with that. I think you guys all know that. Scatt will probably get out there a little bit at some point in time. Some degree. It wouldn’t be fair for me to give you days or dates. Really haven’t had that in-depth discussion with Adam (Bennett). I have a vague idea. It’s not that important today. We try to focus on today,” Harbaugh said.<\/p>\n

“Malik is going to be more into training camp and closer to the season. That’s more Malik’s timeline.”<\/p>\n

The Giants’ passing attack relies heavily on Nabers. New York was fortunate to see a breakout season from Wan’Dale Robinson out of the slot in 2025. Robinson delivered a 1,000-yard season of his own, finishing with 1,014 yards. However, Robinson\u2019s departure in free agency creates an even greater need for Nabers to be at full strength next season.<\/p>\n

Following Harbaugh\u2019s comments, the expectation is that Nabers will test the strength of his right knee at some point in training camp.<\/p>\n
