A New York state corrections department employee and her ex-con boyfriend were indicted Tuesday for running a sex trafficking and prostitution ring where they pimped out at least one child, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
Deanna DiCastro, 39, and Gillam Cordero, 38, are both accused of managing the sex ring out of four locations across the state \u2014 Manhattan, the Bronx, Rome and Utica \u2014 between October 2025 and January 2026, according to the Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The alleged pimps, who have been dating for four years, arranged prostitution hookups at hotels in Manhattan and the Bronx, the DA\u2019s office said. <\/p>\n

When they trekked upstate, they used the Rome home of DiCastro \u2014 a state Department of Correction and Community Supervison worker \u2014 as the meeting place, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
The pair pimped out at least one underage girl and dispatched various men to her hotel room at some point during the three-month operation, according to prosecutors. <\/p>\n
They also instructed the young girl to take certain amounts of money from the purported clients, the office claimed.<\/p>\n
DiCastro and Cordero allegedly started advertising for the illicit service in early October through listings on MegaPersonals, a website for \u201cclassified hookups.\u201d<\/p>\n
In November, Cordero also allegedly robbed someone at gunpoint at DiCastro\u2019s direction \u2014 tracking them down and threatening to shoot them if they didn\u2019t fork over their belongings, the DA\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
DiCastro has a firearm license and 10 pistols registered in her name, the DA\u2019s office said. But Cordero, as a convicted felon, is not legally permitted to own or purchase a firearm.<\/p>\n
The couple allegedly launched advertisements for the ring on MegaPersonals.<\/p>\n
