If you thought you knew what a good mozzarella stick was, you need to head to Red Hook immediately. I hit up Lundy\u2019s Steakhouse in Brooklyn, and I\u2019m pretty sure I found the most elite mozzarella sticks in all of New York City. These aren\u2019t your average frozen bar snacks. These are hand-breaded, super-sized, and absolutely loaded with cheese.<\/p>\n
The Perfect Crunch<\/p>\n
The process here is all about that golden-brown perfection. They take these massive sticks of mozzarella, coat them in a seasoned breading, and fry them until they are incredibly crispy. Seeing them come out of the fryer, bubbling and golden, is unreal.<\/p>\n
Once they\u2019re out, they get tossed in a bowl with a heavy hand of salt and fresh herbs. The chef shakes them up until every single inch is seasoned. It\u2019s a simple process, but the quality is just next-level.<\/p>\n
The Money Shot<\/p>\n
They stack these giants on a plate, but they aren\u2019t done yet. They grab a block of parmesan and shave a mountain of it right over the top. It looks like a fresh snowfall of cheese. They serve it with a side of chunky marinara sauce that is the perfect companion for all that richness.<\/p>\n
But let\u2019s talk about the main event: the cheese pull. I grabbed one and pulled it apart, and the stretch was just insane. Look at that! It kept going and going. This is the definition of a \u201cmoney shot.\u201d The cheese is perfectly melted, stringy, and stays hot for days.<\/p>\n

The first bite is an absolute game-changer. You get that crunch from the breading, the salty kick from the parmesan, and then that massive wave of gooey mozzarella. It is a texture powerhouse. They are crunchy, steamy, and so incredibly devourable.<\/p>\n
Lundy\u2019s might be a steakhouse, but these mozzarella sticks are the real stars of the show. If you find yourself in Brooklyn, you have to track these down. It\u2019s the kind of dish you\u2019ll be thinking about long after you\u2019ve finished the last bite.<\/p>\n
