A missing American woman\u2019s husband previously threatened to throw her overboard before her sudden disappearance in the Bahamas<\/a>, her daughter has claimed.<\/p>\n

Karli Aylesworth believes \u201csomething might have happened\u201d involving her mom, Lynette Hooker, and her hubby, Brian, 58, while they were out at sea Saturday night, as she revealed she received a voice note from him amid the search.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do believe something might have happened to her,\u201d she told Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s history of him choking her out and threatening to throw her overboard. So the fact that this is actually happening makes me believe there\u2019s more to the story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bahamian authorities say Lynette, 55, was swept away by the currents after falling from the dinghy she was in with Brian while trying to reach their yacht, Soulmate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A criminal investigation hasn\u2019t been opened, and Brian hasn\u2019t been charged with any crime.<\/p>\n

He denied the accusations in a statement to the Daily Beast. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI categorically deny the allegations made by Karli Aylesworth,\u201d Brian said in the statement. \u201cAt this time, I have retained local counsel, Terrel Butler, and I am acting on her strict advice not to provide further comment to the press, as there is currently an ongoing investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aylesworth also claimed that Brian\u2019s persona would change after drinking alcohol.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe starts to act more smart-a\u2014y and more picking at you and like \u2018I know this will irritate you so I\u2019m gonna do that’\u201d type of attitude,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Lynette and Brian left Hope Town after sunset Saturday to reach Elbow Cay.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She fell into the water with the dinghy\u2019s keys \u2014 something which baffled Aylesworth, who said Brian always drove.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrian\u2019s always driving. So he basically is in charge of the key. So the fact that my mom had it doesn\u2019t make any sense,\u201d she told CBS News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also revealed that her mom wouldn\u2019t lose her balance on a boat, fueling even more suspicions.<\/p>\n

Brian paddled to the Marsh Harbour Boat Yard, arriving at 4 a.m., before his wife was reported missing.<\/p>\n

Aylesworth recalled a voice note that she received from her stepdad.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello, honey, it\u2019s Dad. I just got a call from Hope Town Search and Rescue, and they found the flotation device that I threw to Mom when she fell overboard,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Brian told officials he last saw his wife swim toward the shore, CNN reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The search for Lynette has turned into a recovery mission and Aylesworth fears the worst.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe more time that goes on, the more I disbelieve that she will come back alive. I don\u2019t think that you can tread water for that long,\u201d she told CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I hope maybe she\u2019s on a little island somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynette and Brian documented their adventures at sea on social media under the moniker The Sailing Hookers.<\/p>\n

They said they had \u201csailed away from their BS\u201d and were living their best life.<\/p>\n

Hours before Lynette\u2019s disappearance, they shared a photograph of a small boat in shallow water tied to a jetty.\u00a0<\/p>\n
