If your ideal night out involves a perfectly chilled martini, a dimly lit room and zero documentation beyond a blurry snapshot, you\u2019re in luck: Temple Bar<\/a>\u00a0is going full throwback this April with a two-night \u201990s takeover that leans all the way into downtown nostalgia.<\/p>\n

Taking place on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, the NoHo staple (which first opened on Lafayette Street in 1989) is rewinding the clock to its own heyday, a time when nightlife felt a little more spontaneous, a little less performative and much more analog. The event, cheekily titled \u201cA Love Letter to \u201990s New York: Revisited,\u201d is being done in collaboration with Page Six<\/a>, the column that once chronicled that exact scene.<\/p>\n

For the weekend, the space will transform into what organizers are calling a \u201cliving time capsule\u201d with low lighting, oversized martini glasses and a room that feels more like a memory than a themed pop-up. There\u2019s a full \u201990s cocktail menu to match, including a Big Appletini, Cosmopolitan, Midori Sour (rebranded here as \u201cThe Club Kid\u201d), Lychee Martini and, of course, a classic dirty martini.<\/p>\n

DJ Vidal and DJ Tokyo Rose will spin 1990s and \u201990s-adjacent tracks starting at 10pm each night, while staff will circulate with Polaroid cameras, snapping candid shots throughout the space. (Actual Polaroids\u2014this is an anti-Instagram moment.)<\/p>\n

There are other playful touches woven in, from a Page Six-inspired neon sign to complimentary scoops of Dr. Bombay Ice Cream, Snoop Dogg\u2019s brand that includes flavors like Peanut Butter Jellytime and Strawberry Cream Dream. The first 100 reserved guests each night will also score a limited-edition gift bag filled with era-inspired swag.<\/p>\n

Reservations are open now via Resy<\/a>, with seated bookings available until 10pm.
