1.\u00a0Times Square protesters demand end to war in Iran<\/a><\/p>\n

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Times Square demanding an end to a war they say the U.S. helped fuel, as a fragile ceasefire between the U.S., Iran and Israel shows signs of strain.<\/p>\n

Demonstrators, including Iranian and Lebanese Americans, urged leaders to halt military involvement and prioritize diplomacy. While the White House expressed confidence in ongoing talks, critics remain skeptical.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Parents oppose plan to cut middle school grades at Upper West Side school<\/a><\/p>\n

Parents at the Riverside School for Makers and Artists are pushing back against a Department of Education proposal to eliminate grades 6 through 8.<\/p>\n

The proposal also includes relocating the Center School, a grades 5-8 program, into RSMA\u2019s middle school building if approved. Parents argue the school\u2019s struggles are tied to a lack of support, not performance by students or staff.<\/p>\n

A Pakistani man pleaded guilty to a terrorism charge yesterday, saying it was a \u201cmorally reprehensible idea\u201d to support the Islamic State group by plotting to use automatic weapons to kill Jewish people at a Brooklyn center.<\/p>\n

Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 21, said he answered the group’s call for Muslims to kill Jewish people by plotting to attack the Jewish center in October 2024.<\/p>\n
