As British singer-actor Lily Allen and Stranger Things star David Harbour go their separate ways, their Brooklyn brownstone<\/a> has come to market for $7.995 million. The ex-couple, who wed in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020, tapped AD100 designer Billy Cotton<\/a> and architect Ben Bischoff of MADE to help them transform the residence into a cozy maximalist<\/a> dream. The Carroll Gardens dwelling spans five levels and offers five bedrooms and four bathrooms.<\/p>\n News of the listing comes days after Allen released her new album, West End Girl, which chronicles the break-up and references the New York City home<\/a>. \u201cNow I\u2019m looking at houses with four or five floors \/ And you\u2019ve found us a brownstone, said \u2018You want it? It\u2019s yours\u2019 \/ So we went ahead and we bought it \/ Found ourselves a good mortgage \/ Billy Cotton<\/a> got sorted \/ All the furniture ordered,\u201d she sings in the album\u2019s title track. In another song, \u201cNonmonogamummy,\u201d the London native alludes to brighter days at the town house: \u201cWe built a palace on the perfect street, you really sold me on a dream.\u201d<\/p>\n Blending traditional English, modern, and Italian styles, Cotton aimed to decorate the 19th-century town house \u201cas if they\u2019d inherited the home from a kooky Italian nonna with fabulous taste,\u201d he told AD during the February 2023 home tour<\/a>. Bold Pierre Frey carpets, tiger striped upholstery, intricate moldings, and brightly patterned wallpapers are among the home\u2019s lush details. \u201cLily is someone who lives with color in a deeper way than most. Her taste is bold, silly, fun, eccentric\u2014it\u2019s exciting,\u201d Harbour told AD at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always been interested in interiors, and I\u2019ve always done my own homes. But this was a big undertaking, and I needed help.
