Thornton\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want the people to hear the music for what it is, and not have any judgments or make any assumptions,\u201d the artist is quoted saying on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammy.com\/artists\/her\/243298\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grammy Awards page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The singer has won five Grammy Awards, as well as an Academy Award and a Children\u2019s and Family Emmy Award.
