It\u2019s official: Meta Lab NYC is here to stay. We\u2019ve signed a 10-year lease with Vornado Realty Trust to make our pop-up at 697 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan a permanent flagship location.<\/p>\n

Meta Lab is a retail space designed for hands-on discovery, where you can check out the latest in our AI glasses<\/a> offerings, immerse yourself in virtual worlds with Meta Quest<\/a>, and a whole lot more. It\u2019s a place where you can see not only the latest and greatest in Meta\u2019s retail offerings, but where you can get a sense of how technology can fit into your everyday life \u2014 and what new exciting, creative possibilities it can unlock.<\/p>\n

Each Meta Lab location is shaped by its neighborhood, co-created with local artists and communities around distinct creative themes. New York is a hub of international culture and personal style, and our Meta Lab location is a place to celebrate it \u2014 and the people leading the way. Over time, Meta Lab NYC will evolve to highlight elements of culture in NYC and beyond, so be sure to drop in often and check out what we\u2019ll have to offer.<\/p>\n

Update December 11, 2025:<\/p>\n

Aloha! We\u2019re opening our first Meta Lab ephemeral boutique today at the Ala Moana Center<\/a> in Honolulu where people will be able to purchase and get hands-on demos of all our AI glasses<\/a>, including Ray-Ban Meta<\/a>, Oakley Meta HSTN<\/a>, and Oakley Meta Vanguard<\/a>. The space will be open every day from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm HT during normal operating hours. The Ala Moana Center is located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii. <\/p>\n

Developed with Zoo York<\/a>, our archival wall and timeline tells the story of NYC skate culture from the 1960s to today, through graffiti, rare film footage, artwork, original decks, and other visual artifacts.Our coffee shop features beverages from Buddies Coffee Roasters<\/a>, founded by former pro skater Taylor Nawrocki and Rachel Nieves. Their signature drink is a vegan Coquito latte inspired by Puerto Rican heritage.You\u2019ll find a multi-dimensional mural and art from pro skater Zered Bassett\u2019s \u201cPaper Skaters\u201d series. His contemporary artwork captures the motion, grit, and spirit of skate culture.We\u2019ve got gear and ephemera from woman-founded Rookie Skateboards, which has been championing inclusivity in the skate community since 1996.And Evan Mock, a multidisciplinary creative, brings his disruptor spirit to Meta Lab with an interactive gallery. When we first opened the doors of Meta Lab<\/a> in 2024, we were so appreciative of the reception. And today, we\u2019re thrilled to announce that Meta Lab<\/a> is returning to Los Angeles as a flagship retail location, expanding to new pop-up spaces in New York and Las Vegas, and still going strong in Burlingame.<\/p>\n

An experiential retail space that puts people and community first, Meta Lab<\/a> is a reinvention of the traditional shopping experience. It\u2019s a lab in the truest sense where we re-think the Meta retail experience, test out new approaches, and learn what works best.<\/p>\n

While the original Meta Lab in LA was devoted to Ray-Bay Meta glasses, our new retail space will feature the full line-up of Reality Labs hardware, including AI glasses and virtual reality headsets:<\/p>\n

During the three months our original Meta Lab pop-up was open in Los Angeles, we hosted dozens of events and invited in members of the community, from stand-up comedy with Desi Banks<\/a> and a live podcast with Brooke Averick and Connor Wood<\/a> to a paint and sip night with Tinashe<\/a>, a Ray-Ban Meta-focused workshop with Director Drex Lee<\/a>, and a cooking class with Cassie Yeung<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what to expect at each retail location this year:<\/p>\n

Las Vegas: Our first new retail location will open on October 16, as a pop-up at the Wynn Las Vegas. The 560-square-foot space will give locals and visitors alike the chance to experience and explore all that our hardware has to offer. Los Angeles: Next up, Meta Lab\u2019s Los Angeles location on Melrose Avenue will return this fall as our flagship retail store. It\u2019s expanding to over 20,000 square feet, offering a unique, multi-level retail concept specifically designed to highlight the features and benefits of our hardware. Our opening theme will be \u201cSkating in Southern California, From Dogtown to Present,\u201d celebrating the Santa Monica skate scene and its evolution through the years. We partnered with legendary skate artist, photographer, and creative director Mark Oblow<\/a> to bring that theme to life, and the results permeate the space throughout. Pro-Tip: Check out the vinyl listening room to see how analog compares to our glasses\u2019 open-ear speakers.<\/p>\n

New York: For our New York pop-up, centrally located on 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, we\u2019ve got a different take on our skate theme. The walls will be adorned with black-and-white photography shot by Bill Eppridge for LIFE<\/a> magazine in the 1960s, capturing the vibrancy and novelty of a new counterculture as it emerged.<\/p>\n

Burlingame: No stress, Bay Area locals. Our location in Burlingame, California \u2014 the original lab of Meta Lab \u2014 will remain open and offer a place to demo and purchase all of our products.<\/p>\n

And just like we\u2019re adding more styles and brands to meet the demand for our AI glasses, we\u2019re also experimenting with new ways for people to buy them. At Connect this year, we debuted a reinvention of a traditional vending machine, which let people try on (and purchase) pairs of Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses. We plan to launch a series of micro-stores with similar concepts and learn from them as we continue to evolve our retail experiences.<\/p>\n
