Brooklyn Peltz Beckham marked his fourth wedding anniversary with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham by gifting her a bouquet of white roses with a heartfelt message<\/p>\n

“We have been through so much together and today we are stronger than ever and you are my best friend,” a card on the flowers included<\/p>\n

Brooklyn also posted a picture of some flowers the couple had received from Nicola’s family amid his ongoing rift with his own parents, Victoria and David Beckham<\/p>\n

On Thursday, April 9, Brooklyn, 27, shared a photo on his Instagram Stories<\/a> of a bouquet of white roses which he\u2019d given Nicola, 31, to mark the special occasion.<\/p>\n

The flowers included a card addressed to Nicola, which read, \u201cHappy 4 year Anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart x.\u201d<\/p>\n

“We have been through so much together and today we are stronger than ever and you are my best friend x,\u201d Brooklyn added in the message.<\/p>\n

He told his wife, whom he married in a lavish Florida ceremony<\/a> in April 2022, \u201cI can’t wait to grow old together with you x I love you so much x.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn captioned the snap, \u201cHappy anniversary @nicolaannepeltzbeckham x I love you with all my heart,\u201d adding two red love heart emojis.<\/p>\n

“Can’t wait to stay young with you xx love you so so much x,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn also appeared to share a photo of some flowers that the couple had received from Nicola\u2019s parents, Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner Peltz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nicola recently spoke about her parents\u2019 relationship with Brooklyn<\/a> in an interview with Elle Espa\u00f1a<\/a>, which was published last month, saying they treat him “like another son.”<\/p>\n

The anniversary posts come amid Brooklyn’s\u00a0ongoing estrangement from his own family<\/a>, including his mom\u00a0Victoria Beckham<\/a>,\u00a0dad David Beckham<\/a>, brothers Cruz<\/a> and Romeo<\/a>, and sister Harper<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In January, Brooklyn accused his parents of trying to sabotage his and Nicola\u2019s relationship and spreading \u201ccountless lies\u201d in\u00a0a series of explosive posts<\/a>\u00a0on his Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n

Among the messages, Brooklyn claimed his parents had been trying \u201cendlessly to ruin\u201d his relationship with Nicola in the name of publicity and valued “public promotion and endorsements above all else.”<\/p>\n

Other accusations included claiming his parents tried to\u00a0“bribe” him into “signing away the rights” to his name<\/a>\u00a0before his and Nicola’s wedding and that Victoria\u00a0“hijacked” his wedding dance with Nicola<\/a>\u00a0and “danced inappropriately on me.”<\/p>\n

Brooklyn wrote, \u201cI have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” adding, “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he said at the time.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn\u2019s bombshell posts came after\u00a0months of speculation about a rift<\/a>\u00a0between himself and his parents.<\/p>\n

After he posted the messages, a source close to the situation\u00a0told PEOPLE<\/a>\u00a0that Brooklyn and Nicola “never wanted any of this.”<\/p>\n

“They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married but after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola, a family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year,” the insider said.<\/p>\n

“And then the Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage and instead they continued to push these false narratives, and Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it,” they added.<\/p>\n

A source with knowledge of the situation also\u00a0told PEOPLE<\/a>\u00a0in January that \u201cDavid and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward … David loves his kids. They are his everything.”<\/p>\n

However, an insider close to Brooklyn previously disputed that David and Victoria had kept trying to reach out.<\/p>\n
