{"id":192129,"date":"2026-04-10T12:34:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T12:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/192129\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T12:34:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T12:34:10","slug":"off-duty-fdny-emt-saves-residents-from-queens-house-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/192129\/","title":{"rendered":"Off-duty FDNY EMT saves residents from Queens house fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK \u2014 An off-duty FDNY EMT is being credited with rescuing residents from a burning home in Queens after spotting the fire from his own house, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FDNY\/posts\/1367469665417149?ref=embed_post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">according to a post from the FDNY\u2019s Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On March 31, EMT Ryan O\u2019Reilly was watching television at home in Queens when he smelled smoke and noticed a fire at a nearby house.
