RED HOOK \u2014 THE BROOKLYN MARINE TERMINAL PLAN is now in the \u201cscoping phase\u201d of the city\u2019s environmental review process. An in-person scoping hearing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Joseph Miccio Cornerstone Community Center Gym, 110 W. Ninth St., Red Hook. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide three minutes of public testimony. Register<\/a> online on Eventbrite.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A repeat scoping hearing will be held virtually on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. via Zoom<\/a>. A third, in-person scoping hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 1, 6 p.m. at 125 Summit St. The public comment period, originally set to end Nov. 10, will now be extended to Dec. 11.<\/p>\n

The BMT Task Force\u2019s vote on Sept. 22 gave the go-ahead to the controversial<\/a> $3.5 billion redevelopment of the 122-acre maritime site<\/a> stretching along the East River from Atlantic Avenue to Red Hook.<\/p>\n
