The Hennepin Recycling Group (HRG) cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and New Hope work in conjunction with the City of Brooklyn Park to host a special material drop off day.\u00a0The\u00a0next special material\u00a0drop off day\u00a0is scheduled for\u00a0Saturday,\u00a0April 25, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\u00a0at the Brooklyn Park Operations and Maintenance Facility, 8300 Noble Ave. N.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Drop Off for Free:<\/p>\n

Batteries (auto and home use)
Bicycles
Cardboard boxes (flatten and remove non-paper items)
Used Oil, Oil Filters, and Antifreeze
Paper for shredding (shredding done on site)
Scrap Metal
\u00a0<\/p>\n

Drop Off for a Small Fee:<\/p>\n

Appliances: ($10 each) such as a air conditioner, microwave, stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, washer, dryer, furnace, dehumidifier, water heater, etc.
Electronics such as computers, monitors, televisions, printers, mobile phones, stereos\/radios, MP3 players, etc. ($5 for computers, monitors and TVs, others are free)
Mattress\/Box Spring: ($20 per item) any size, clean,\u00a0unsoiled
Tires: Any size \u2013 on or off rim ($2 each)
\u00a0Not accepted: carpet, exercise equipment,\u00a0furniture,\u00a0lamps, leaf blowers, light bulbs, lumber, paint, remodeling debris, trash, yard waste\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
