A 75-year-old grandmother was pummeled when she asked two women to pick up their dogs\u2019 poop<\/a> in a brutal Brooklyn attack earlier this week \u2013 and the beatdown only ended when a Navy vet neighbor stepped in, disturbing video shows.<\/p>\n

Linda Scott was repeatedly punched in the face and knocked onto her front lawn by one of the dog-walkers when the brawl unfolded just after 9 a.m. Monday on President Street near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights, according to Ring camera footage obtained by The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Even when Scott was on the ground, the pig-tailed fiend punched and stomped on her head, the unsettling clip shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Linda Scott, 75, was repeatedly punched in the face and knocked onto her front lawn by one of the dog-walkers just after 9 a.m. Monday, according to Ring camera footage obtained by The Post. Obtained by NY Post<\/p>\n

The neighbor, who only identified himself as Mr. Barnett, 37, said he\u2019d just parked his car after a morning trip to the gym when he noticed a \u201ccommotion\u201d in front of the senior\u2019s home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seemed like a dispute about the dog poop or whatever\u2026.a shouting match back and forth,\u201d Barnett, now a train conductor, said Friday. \u201c[When] the young lady in the red came around the corner\u2026.the way she approached Miss Linda just let me know that she was about to do something to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the gate was coming up, and then the young lady came up and put her hands [on the victim] and started assaulting her, that\u2019s when I got out [of] the car.\u201d<\/p>\n

He pulled the ruthless attacker off the senior and then scrambled to close the gate as the two dogs scurried around.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim\u2019s son showed up and she told him, \u2018She hit me,\u2019\u201d the good Samaritan said. \u201cAnd that\u2019s when it escalated again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was screaming, like it was an agonizing scream like she was in pain, but I wasn\u2019t paying too much attention to it,\u201d Barnett added. \u201cI was just trying to contain the environment and get the people off of her property.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott was taken to One Brooklyn Health-Interfaith Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n

Barnett described the victim as a \u201cstaple in the community\u201d who had \u201cbeen here for years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said he hopes the attacker \u201cgrows up\u201d and does \u201cthe right thing\u201d by turning herself in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[This] could have easily been a conversation,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s not looking good for the next generation coming up. Like, that\u2019s not a great example.\u201d<\/p>\n

But he shied away from calling himself a hero.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you count that as being a hero, then I guess my naval experience, my law enforcement experience means nothing,\u201d Barnett said. \u201cIt\u2019s just doing the right thing, looking out for the neighbor \u2013 and not even just the neighbor but looking out for another human being.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just before the beatdown, one of the women accused the senior of throwing ammonia on her dog, the clip shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Scott admitted to pouring ammonia on a vacant lot next to her home, which is often used by dog owners<\/a> who don\u2019t clean up their pets\u2019 mess, News 12 reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But her son, Matthew Scott, told the network his mom only wanted to keep the smell away and never used the cleaning fluid \u201cas a weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe young lady had no business beating me like that,\u201d Scott told the station. \u201cNo business beating me or any other older person like that. Anybody. Period.\u201d<\/p>\n
