A woman fatally stabbed in a weekend brawl<\/a> outside a Bronx bar had intervened in a fight involving her boyfriend, officials said Monday.<\/p>\n

Pamela Almonte Cabrera\u2019s blood was still visible on the sidewalk outside Mama Dora Bar & Lounge<\/a> on E. Kingsbridge Road near Morris Ave. in Kingsbridge Heights, where cops said she was stabbed outside the watering hole early Sunday.<\/p>\n

Her boyfriend, at a memorial outside the nearby barbershop where Cabrera worked, declined to talk about the 4 a.m. free-for-all, except to express his grief.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow would you feel,\u201d he said through tears. \u201cI was there. I feel like s\u2013t. I feel bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cabrera, who lived in Melrose, was with a group of about five people when they clashed with a similar sized group on the sidewalk, according to police. Cabrera was stabbed about five times in the chest, cops said.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video shows a commotion among a crowd outside the bar at closing time before Cabrera walks down the block, held upright by another person. She sits down on the pavement and then collapses, the video shows.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to BronxCare Health System by private means, then transferred to Lincoln Hospital,<\/a> where she died, according to police.<\/p>\n

A friend of the victim, Wendy, 52, said she had been with Cabrera a couple of hours before she died, and was enjoying the night out.<\/p>\n

\u201dShe was happy, very happy,\u201d Wendy said. \u201cAll day, every day, she was happy. We feel very bad because she\u2019s a good person. She has three kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy said two of Cabrera\u2019s sons live in the Dominican Republic, and her 17-year-old daughter lives in New York City.<\/p>\n

A brother lives in Philadelphia, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe brother did a lot of crying,\u201d Wendy said. \u201c They had to give him a shot to help him sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cabrera worked as a nail technician in the back of the barbershop, her grieving friends said. Mourners filled the street outside the shop sharing stories about her and comforting each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was very friendly,\u201d Wendy said. \u201cA lot of people were here last night.\u201d<\/p>\n
