Meanwhile, Republican members of the House sent a letter to the governor accusing Senate Democrats of using the shutdown as political leverage.<\/p>\n

State data shows the hardest-hit congressional districts in the city would be those of Reps. Ritchie Torres, Adriano Espaillat, Hakeem Jefferies, Yvette Clarke and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Together, it would impact more than one million New Yorkers.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one. Not [every] organization can be prepared for the hit that we\u2019ll take when SNAP benefits don\u2019t flow through,\u201d Stephens said.<\/p>\n
