Published reports indicated the stabbing occurred just before 10 a.m. on April 11 on the 4\/5\/6 line, within the confines of NYPD Transit District 4<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Based on a preliminary investigation, sources tell amNewYork that the suspect stabbed two people during an assault on the uptown platform. One of the victims was observed with a serious laceration to their head.<\/p>\n

Police then confronted the suspect and ordered him to drop the knife he held, according to reports. Seconds later, cops opened fire, striking the perpetrator.\n<\/p>\n

Trains on the 4\/5\/6 line are bypassing Grand Central Station as the investigation continues.\n<\/p>\n

Officers were observed combing the platform where the stabbing and shooting occurred. A machete was spotted at the scene.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
