Embattled California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who is currently fighting off allegations of sexual misconduct and assault,<\/a> has lived a public-facing life for two decades \u2014 but his wife of nine years seems to prefer privacy.<\/p>\n

After Swalwell\u2019s previous marriage ended in divorce, he and 31-year-old Brittany Watts were set up my mutual pals in 2015, according to a marriage notice in the New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After a year of dating, the pair tied the knot in October 2016 in Oakland, in a ceremony presided over by Nancy E. O\u2019Malley, the Alameda County district attorney and deputy marriage commissioner at the time.<\/p>\n

Married father-of-three Eric Swalwell apologized to his wife and denied all allegations of sexual abuse and harassment in a video statement on Friday. threads\/@ericswalwell<\/p>\n

The couple share three young children \u2014 Nelson, Cricket, and Hank \u2014 and live in the luxurious wine region of Livermore, CA.<\/p>\n

Outside of her husband\u2019s political pursuits, Watts has her own impressive career.<\/p>\n

She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, the Times reported.<\/p>\n

The now 41-year-old previously worked as a director of sales at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon, CA, the outlet reported.\u00a0She also worked as the director of corporate and leisure travel sales for the Loews Chicago Hotel, according to an employment history report.<\/p>\n

She is now a small business owner in the hospitality industry, according to her husband\u2019s government bio.<\/a><\/p>\n

In light of her husband\u2019s allegations, it appears that Watts deleted her social media accounts, but she is often paraded on Swalwell\u2019s accounts for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the latest on the allegations against Rep. Eric Swalwell<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Swalwell gushed over wife as the \u201cMom and wife who does it all,\u201d adding that \u201cShe does it with ease, grace, and beauty\u201d to his almost half-a-million followers on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n

More recently, Swalwell posted a chummy, loved-up video of him walking hand-in-hand with his wife along a Californian beach. The married couple discussed his political run for governor, in which he said he got a \u201cMajor endorsement\u201d from his \u201cwife and best friend.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

In the video dated March 29, Watts boasted that her husband is a \u201creally great dad,\u201d \u201creally great husband,\u201d and that she and her kids \u201ccan count on [Swalwell] for anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Watts has not made any public statement about her husband\u2019s sexual misconduct and assault allegations.<\/p>\n

The 45-year-old Democratic favorite in the Californian governor\u2019s race issued a blistering video statement Friday night<\/a>, vehemently refuting the allegations and apologized Watts for making \u201cmistakes in judgment in my past.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut those mistakes are between me and my wife, and to her I apologize deeply for putting her in this position,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

The Post reached out to Eric Swalwell and Brittany Watts for comment. <\/p>\n
