BROOKLYN, N.Y \u2013 Brooklyn FC recorded a 3\u20130 victory over Charleston Battery Saturday night, controlling the USL Championship match from early.<\/p>\n
Winger Markus Anderson paced the hosts with a goal and an assist.<\/p>\n
The victory boosted ninth-place Brooklyn to 2-4-0 and six points while sixth-place Charleston (9) fell to 3-2-0.<\/p>\n
The hosts struck in the ninth minute, when winger Jaden Servania unleashed a left-footed effort from outside the box that found the bottom corner.<\/p>\n
Charleston had a brief chance to respond shortly before, but midfielder Emilio Ycaza\u2019s close-range header drifted just over the bar.<\/p>\n
Brooklyn doubled its lead in the 32nd minute through forward Stefan Stojanovic, who finished a fast break with a precise strike into the bottom right corner after being set up by Anderson.<\/p>\n
A late first-half push from Charleston forced a strong save from goalkeeper Jackson Lee.<\/p>\n
After the break, Charleston showed more urgency, creating several chances, most notably through forward Miguel Berry. Lee, however, stood tall, making multiple key saves.<\/p>\n
