One person was treated at the scene of an apparent one-vehicle accident in the Belmont section of the Bronx close to the Bronx Zoo on Sunday, April 12, EMS officials said.<\/p>\n

One car was seen in video posted to social media crashed into a wall in the tunnel on East Fordham Road and Southern Boulevard, with the NYPD and an ambulance on scene.<\/p>\n

When contacted, an FDNY \/ EMS spokesperson said the departments received a 911 call at 4.09 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a car crash at the location. They said one civilian was evaluated on scene by EMS and refused medical attention and the incident was closed at 5.02 p.m.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n When Norwood News visited the scene at around 6.45 p.m., neither the crashed car nor police \/ EMS were still at the location.<\/p>\n When contacted, the NYPD said they received a call at 4.09 p.m. for a report of the accident which they said was a single-vehicle one at 4.09 p.m. under the bridge with the car colliding with the wall under the overpass.
