One person incurred minor injuries following a car accident in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Sunday afternoon, April 12, according to FDNY \/ EMS officials.<\/p>\n

An FDNY \/ EMS spokesperson said the departments received a 911 call at 1.33 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a car crash with injuries at the intersection of Bailey Avenue and West 238th Street.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
They said EMS transported one patient with minor injuries to a local area hospital and their condition and description is unknown. When Norwood News visited the location on Sunday, an ambulance was still at the scene but there seemed to be no sign of a collision. We asked some residents and workers if they had seen the accident but they said they had not.<\/p>\n
When contacted about the incident, an NYPD spokesperson said the collision involved two vehicles and they reported no injuries. \u201cIt did come over as a pin job as a female occupant couldn\u2019t get out of the vehicle but just because of damage to the door, but no injuries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n As reported,<\/a> a gas rupture in the vicinity of the crash site caused a major disruption to the daily lunch trade for small businesses in the area on Tuesday, April 7.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, according to Instagram user, @kidelectrik, a car was seen overturned and in flames<\/a> on the Major Deegan Expressway, just before the RFK bridge in The Bronx also on Saturday night. \u201cPrayers go out to whoever was in that car,\u201d kidelectrick wrote.<\/p>\n Traffic accident statistics in the 50th Precinct, where this accident occurred, for the 28-day period ending April 5, compared to last year (left), and year-to-date traffic accidents in the 50th Precinct as of April 5, compared to last year (right) are attached. This precinct covers some or all of\u00a0Kingsbridge, Fieldston, iverdale, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n As reported<\/a>, emergency services and a tow truck were called when a car crashed into a wall in the East Fordham Road tunnel at Southern Boulevard in the Belmont section of The Bronx on Sunday, April 12.<\/p>\n As reported<\/a>, FDNY were\u00a0 called to East 204th Street and Mosholu Parkway on Saturday night, April 11, after a child got locked inside a car.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n There were minor injuries reported after a two vehicle crash<\/a> on the Grand Concourse in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on March 30.<\/p>\n Fifteen people were injured following a bus collision<\/a>\u00a0in the Edenwald section of The Bronx on Friday, April 10, EMS officials said.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n As reported<\/a>, a 32-year-old man died following a bus-motorcycle collision outside Tracey Towers also in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Wednesday, April 8.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Prior to this, as\u00a0reported<\/a>, three people were hospitalized following a\u00a0two-vehicle car crash<\/a>\u00a0on West Gun Hill Road in Norwood on March 17, St. Patrick\u2019s Day, no injuries were reported following a three-vehicle crash on the Major Deegan Expressway on Sunday, March 22, while two people were hospitalized following a\u00a0single-vehicle collision<\/a>\u00a0in Norwood on Jerome Avenue and Mosholu Parkway the same day.<\/p>\n<\/a>AN AMBULANCE IS seen on the corner of West 238th Street and Bailey Avenue in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2026.\u00a0
