Red\u00a0Bull New York\u00a0II\u00a0(3-0-2, 11 pts.) defeat New England Revolution II\u00a0(2-1-2, 10 pts) 2-1, on Sunday night at Beirne Stadium.<\/p>\n
New York opened the scoring in the first minute of first half stoppage time. Goalkeeper\u00a0Tobias Szewczyk\u00a0played a long ball over New England\u2019s back line to forward\u00a0Roald Mitchell\u00a0who lobbed a shot over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.<\/p>\n
New England leveled the score in the 65th\u00a0minute. Szewczyk handled the ball outside of the box and was issued a red card. Revolution II midfielder Carlos Zambrano placed a free kick into the top left corner of the net.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Red Bulls II found the match winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Forward\u00a0Mijahir Jimenez\u00a0was fouled at the top of the box to give New York a free kick. Midfielder\u00a0Andy Rojas\u00a0stepped up and laced his free kick into the bottom right corner.<\/p>\n
Mitchell scored his third goal of the season and his 23rd\u00a0across all competitions. That moves him past Peter Stroud for fourth-most goals scored across all competitions in club history.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper\u00a0Tomas Hut\u00a0made his MLS NEXT Pro debut, subbing into the match in the 64thminute.\u00a0<\/p>\n
New York have won three of their last four matches against New England and improve their record against the side to 5-3-1.<\/p>\n
