Drops Heartbreaker to Marist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<br \/>\n &#13;<\/p>\n<p>RIVERDALE, NY \u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Men&#8217;s Lacrosse team (2-10, 0-6 MAAC) dropped its penultimate home contest to the Red Foxes of Marist University (7-4, 5-1 MAAC) by a score of 13-9 inside Gaelic Park on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAfter the Red Foxes posted the first marker of the contest, the Jaspers knotted the game at one courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jack-miller\/10167\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10167\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Miller<\/a>, after a marquee <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ryan-beller\/10160\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10160\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Beller<\/a> save and clearance.&#13;<br \/>\n\tAnother response by Marist led to a second deficit, before <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White&#8217;s<\/a> second chance opportunity found the back of the net to tie the game at two.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the second quarter, the Jaspers found their rhythm after trailing by two, and put together three consecutive goals to take their first lead of the day heading into the locker room.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Jaspers were outscored with six consecutive goals in the third quarter, before responding midway through the fourth with their sixth goal from Miller again off a Marist turnover to cut their deficit to as little as six.&#13;<br \/>\n\tBoth teams then traded goals within short spans before <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/tyler-mosca\/10170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10170\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Mosca<\/a> added the team&#8217;s eighth goal following a pair of missed attempts from the opposition, including a team block in the passing lane.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the waning seconds of the game, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nick-henry\/12171\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12171\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Henry<\/a> logged the ninth and final goal, after the Jaspers had suffocated the Red Foxes with three consecutive attempts.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>STATS AND NOTES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jack-miller\/10167\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10167\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Miller<\/a> added three goals to the Jaspers&#8217; scoresheet, with five shots, three of which were on target.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White<\/a> posted two goals and one assist with five shots and three on target, while scooping one ground ball.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/tyler-mosca\/10170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10170\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Mosca<\/a> logged one goal on five shots, two shots on target, and picked up three ground balls.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-shoniker\/12167\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12167\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Shoniker<\/a> registered his first goal of the 2026 campaign on as many shots and added one ground ball.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nick-henry\/12171\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12171\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Henry<\/a> supplied one goal on four shots, one shot on goal, and three ground balls in the effort.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/sean-shelko\/10109\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10109\" target=\"_blank\">Sean Shelko<\/a> provided one goal on a team-high six shots, three on target, and picked up two ground balls.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFaceoff specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/casey-klossner\/10091\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10091\" target=\"_blank\">Casey Klossner<\/a> scooped three ground balls and posted 12 faceoff victories from the X in 24 total tries.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/michael-medici\/12149\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12149\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Medici<\/a> picked up two ground balls and provided quality defense with a team-high three caused turnovers.&#13;<br \/>\n\tAs a team, Manhattan picked up 28 ground balls, compared to Marist&#8217;s 21, while the Jaspers also won the battle of faceoffs with 14.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>NEXT UP:<\/p>\n<p>The Jaspers are back in action for their penultimate contest of the 2026 season on Saturday, April 18, when the Green and White play host to the Golden Griffins of Canisius University, beginning at 11 a.m., which also marks the program&#8217;s annual &#8220;Senior Day&#8221; festivities.
