<\/p>\n Gracie Goewey<\/a> delivered a historic performance on Sunday, etching her name into Siena Softball history with a masterful no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Manhattan at Bahoshy Field to secure Siena’s fifth consecutive MAAC series win.\u00a0

\nThe junior right-hander was untouchable from start to finish, allowing no hits across seven innings while striking out 10 and issuing just two walks. She faced only two batters over the minimum, hitting one, and needed just 105 pitches\u201467 for strikes\u2014to complete the first no-hitter of her collegiate career. The shutout victory improved Goewey to 10-5 on the season.

\nBacked by timely offense and clean defense, Siena (20-11, 12-4 MAAC) controlled the game throughout, but the story belonged to Goewey, who set the tone early and never wavered.

\nSiena broke through in the fourth inning after a scoreless start. Sarah Miller<\/a> led off with a single and moved to second on Megan Klein’s<\/a> base hit. Chloe Cummings<\/a> followed with an RBI single up the middle to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.

\nThe Saints added crucial insurance in the fifth. Goewey helped her own cause with a single, and pinch runner McKenzie Faherty came around to score when Cali DeLawder<\/a> launched a two-run home run to right field. The blast extended the lead to 3-0\u2014more than enough support for Goewey’s dominant outing.

\nAt the plate, Klein led the way with three hits and a walk, while DeLawder powered the offense with a homer, double, and two RBIs. Cummings added an RBI knock and executed a sacrifice, contributing to Siena’s well-rounded effort.

\nFrom there, Goewey took care of the rest, closing out the final innings with poise to secure the milestone performance and the win.
