{"id":195112,"date":"2026-04-13T08:52:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T08:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/195112\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T08:52:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T08:52:09","slug":"bandstand-concerts-return-to-queens-park-this-summer-latest-news-news-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/195112\/","title":{"rendered":"Bandstand concerts return to Queen\u2019s Park this summer &#8211; Latest News &#8211; News Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"date\">Published: Mon 13th April, 2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Bandstand concerts 2026.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A variety of exciting concerts for residents and visitors to attend will return to Queen\u2019s Park in Loughborough this summer.<\/p>\n<p>The popular bandstand concerts, organised by Charnwood Borough Council, begin on Sunday, 17\u00a0May with a performance by the Loughborough Student Union (LSU) Classical Concert Band.<\/p>\n<p>Regular concerts are scheduled between May and August, with two more in September and a final performance by the LSU Classical Concert Band in mid-October.<\/p>\n<p>The concerts have been well-attended in recent years, and residents of all ages are invited to come down and enjoy an afternoon of music on the following Sundays:<\/p>\n<p>17 May &#8211; Loughborough Student Union (LSU) Classical Concert Band<br \/>\n24 May &#8211; Bellatones Band<br \/>\n31 May &#8211; Charnwood Symphonic Wind Orchestra<br \/>\n7 June &#8211; Junkyard Cats Jazz Band<br \/>\n14 June &#8211; Ratby Crescendo Brass Band<br \/>\n21 June &#8211; Charnwood Concert Band<br \/>\n28 June &#8211; Melbourne Town Band<br \/>\n12 July &#8211; Loughborough Concert Band<br \/>\n19 July &#8211; Loughborough Male Voice Choir<br \/>\n26 July &#8211; Quorn Ukulele Orchestra<br \/>\n2 August &#8211; Melton Band<br \/>\n16 August &#8211; New Orleans Hotshots Jazz Band<br \/>\n23 August &#8211; Syston Town Band<br \/>\n6 September &#8211; Enderby Concert Band<br \/>\n13 September &#8211; Nottingham Concert Band<br \/>\n11 October &#8211; Loughborough Student Union (LSU) Classical Concert Band<\/p>\n<p>All concerts commence at 2pm and are free to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the schedule is subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>Any changes will be updated on the Council\u2019s website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charnwood.gov.uk\/bandstand\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.charnwood.gov.uk\/bandstand<\/a>\u00a0and social media channels.<\/p>\n<p>Councillor Anne Gray, Lead Member for Open Spaces at Charnwood Borough Council, said: \u201cWith every passing year, the bandstand concerts in the beautiful Queen\u2019s Park are incredibly popular, and the line-up for 2026 looks great.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bands receive a warm welcome from those who attend, and there\u2019s always a good crowd. These performances are a superb opportunity to visit and enjoy our beautiful park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is limited seating around the bandstand so please feel free to bring along a picnic chair and blanket.
