Also, officials said the feedback will guide planning for the Jamaica Station project.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/news\/governor-hochul-launches-customer-survey-shape-project-reimagine-jamaica-station\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Governor Hochul\u2019s office<\/a> says the state\u2019s fiscal-year 2027 executive budget includes funding. That funding is for the planning phase. The station serves 200,000 daily riders. It has not been upgraded since AirTrain JFK was integrated in 2003. The redesign is intended to create better traffic flow. It is also intended to reduce crowding. In addition, it is intended to improve connections among LIRR, NYC Transit, and AirTrain JFK services.<\/p>\n<p>Funding and oversight for the Jamaica Station project<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/news\/governor-hochul-launches-customer-survey-shape-project-reimagine-jamaica-station\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Governor Hochul\u2019s office<\/a>, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul designated $50 million in the state\u2019s fiscal-year 2027 executive budget. That funding is for planning for the project.
