FORT GREENE, Brooklyn (WABC) — Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy wanted in the shooting death of his stepfather in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened just before 11 a.m. Sunday inside the Walt Whitman Houses on Cumberland Walk. Police say the teenager got into a dispute with his stepfather, 43-year-old Jamel Davis, over smoking inside the apartment.<\/p>\n

During the argument, investigators say the teen shot Davis in the torso. Davis was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

The suspect fled the scene and remains on the loose.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police.<\/p>\n
