Sidi.<\/p>\n<p>By West Side Rag<\/p>\n<p>Robert Sietsema has reviewed restaurants for more than 35 years, including around a decade as Eater\u2019s senior food critic.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, he <a href=\"https:\/\/gothamist.com\/arts-entertainment\/from-hot-dogs-to-herring-where-to-eat-on-the-upper-west-side-right-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">published his list in Gothamist<\/a> of the nine best places to currently eat at on the Upper West Side.<\/p>\n<p>Sietsema began his piece with some praise of the Upper West Side restaurant scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York Times restaurant critic Pete Wells wrote\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/02\/08\/insider\/a-good-meal-is-hard-to-find-at-least-on-new-yorks-upper-west-side.html#:~:text=Sometimes%20you%20hear%20the%20neighborhood,impress%20your%20friends%2C%20or%20yourself.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">in 2017<\/a> that there were few restaurants on the Upper West Side \u2013 which extends from Columbus Circle to 110th Street \u2013 where you could go to impress friends,\u201d Sietsema wrote. \u201cWell, it wasn\u2019t true then, and it certainly isn\u2019t true now, as the neighborhood has one of the most impressive and diverse collections of dining establishments in the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are the neighborhood spots he highlighted.
