A group of pro-Palestinian activists was arrested during a protest of Israel\u2019s actions in the Gaza Strip outside Sen. Chuck Schumer\u2019s office in Manhattan on Monday, cops said.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators were taken into custody outside the Senate minority leader\u2019s office<\/a> on Third Ave. near E. 48th St. in Midtown East around 1:48 p.m., according to law enforcement. The protestors were arrested after refusing orders to disperse, said police.<\/p>\n

A list of charges or the number of protestors taken into custody was not immediately available.<\/p>\n

Demonstrators were seen trying to enter the building housing Schumer\u2019s office before continuing their protest outside after failing to gain entry.<\/p>\n

While some activists chanted on the sidewalk, a group of protestors wearing shirts that read, \u201cNo war, no ICE, free Palestine,\u201d and \u201cFund people, not bombs,\u201d sat down in the street blocking traffic.<\/p>\n

Multiple protestors were seen being taken into custody and escorted to waiting buses, with police removing some demonstrators from the street.<\/p>\n
