A parked vehicle was damaged after it was seemingly rear-ended following a hit & run incident on Saturday, April 11, in the Riverdale section of The Bronx, police said.<\/p>\n

An FDNY spokesperson said they received a call at 6.35 p.m. on Saturday for a report of \u201ca medical condition\u201d at 3640 Johnson Avenue, near West 236 Street and Oxford Avenue. The spokesperson said there was \u201cno vehicle incident at this location,\u201d\u00a0added that one civilian was evaluated by EMS, and had\u00a0nothing further on the incident.<\/p>\n

An NYPD spokesperson later said that they received a call at 7.17 p.m. regarding a collision at 3650 Johnson Avenue, located in the vicinity of Oxford Avenue and West 236th Street. \u201cThere was a parked vehicle that was struck and no other property damage, and the vehicle that struck the parked vehicle fled the scene,\u201d the spokesperson said. The spokesperson said there were no injuries.<\/p>\n
As reported<\/a>, emergency services were called to put out a fire in an unoccupied, burning car on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Saturday morning, April 11, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n As also reported<\/a>, one person incurred minor injuries following a separate car accident also in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Sunday afternoon, April 12, according to FDNY \/ EMS officials.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, according to Instagram user, @kidelectrik, a car was seen overturned and in flames<\/a> on the Major Deegan Expressway, just before the RFK bridge in the Port Morris section of the South Bronx also on Saturday night. \u201cPrayers go out to whoever was in that car,\u201d @kidelectrick wrote.
