{"id":196230,"date":"2026-04-14T00:44:40","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T00:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/196230\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T00:44:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T00:44:40","slug":"lily-allen-and-david-harbour-fetch-7m-for-their-brooklyn-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/196230\/","title":{"rendered":"Lily Allen and David Harbour fetch $7M for their Brooklyn home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Brooklyn townhouse immortalized in\u00a0a Lily Allen album has sold and closed for $7 million, Gimme Shelter can reveal. <\/p>\n<p>Once the elegant marital home of Allen, the British pop star now on the New York leg of her tour \u2014 and \u201cStranger Things\u201d actor David Harbour \u2014 the stunning Cobble Hill townhouse hit the market\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/27\/real-estate\/lily-allen-and-david-harbours-nyc-home-lists-for-8m\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">last October for $7.9 million<\/a> just days after the release of her widely discussed \u201crevenge\u201d album. It was last asking\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/20\/real-estate\/lily-allen-and-david-harbours-brooklyn-home-just-found-a-buyer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$7.3 million<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The identity of the buyer is not known.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/12\/lifestyle\/how-new-york-is-heralding-the-return-of-maximalism\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The boldly maximalist<\/a> five-bedroom, four-bath dwelling at 381 Union St. \u2014 filled with wild prints and colors \u2014 features a sauna and a cold plunge in the backyard. In 2023, it debuted in Architectural Digest with a home tour dubbed \u201ccringe\u201d by Curbed. It was later featured in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elledecor.com\/celebrity-style\/celebrity-homes\/a69178647\/lily-allen-david-harbour-brooklyn-brownstone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Elle Decor<\/a>\u00a0after <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/20\/real-estate\/lily-allen-and-david-harbours-brooklyn-home-just-found-a-buyer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Post reported<\/a> in January that it had entered contract.<\/p>\n<p>The residence is jaw-droppingly beautiful in its design \u2014 but it wasn\u2019t a fairytale home for the now-former couple. Compass<\/p>\n<p>The interior is filled with various colors and patterns \u2014 not to mention a lacquered ceiling. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>But despite the 19th-century home\u2019s natural beauty, and stellar makeover by top AD100 designer Billy Cotton and architect Ben Bischoff of MADE, Allen felt \u201cawkward\u201d there from the start, according to her \u201cWest End Girl\u201d album. It was the first album that Allen \u2014 a mother of two daughters from her previous marriage \u2014 had made in seven years and it gave her a massive career boost, as she is now on a global tour.<\/p>\n<p>Released just days before the property hit the market in late 2025, the album refers to Harbour\u2019s alleged infidelity with costume designer Natalie Tippet at his West Village residence, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/27\/real-estate\/lily-allen-and-david-harbours-nyc-home-lists-for-8m\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to reports<\/a>. According to Allen\u2019s music, she felt pressured to move into a home that was simply too expensive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow I\u2019m looking at houses with four or five floors \/ And you\u2019ve found us a brownstone, said \u2018You want it? It\u2019s yours.&#8217;\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we went ahead and we bought it \/ Found ourselves a good mortgage \/ Billy Cotton got sorted \/ All the furniture ordered \/ I could never afford this \/ You were pushing it forward \/ Made me feel a bit awkward \/ Made me feel a bit awkward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former couple bought the 22-foot wide townhouse in 2021, during happier times, for $3.3 million via two separate trusts. By February 2025, they were no longer together after nearly five years of marriage. (They met on the dating site Raya, according to reports.)<\/p>\n<p>The spread features a stunning eat-in chef\u2019s kitchen with a large custom banquette by large windows that overlook the street. There\u2019s also a full-floor primary bedroom with a fireplace, two walk-in closets \u2014 and an extravagant spa-like bath\u00a0with wall-to-wall Pierre Frey carpeting, a fireplace, and two \u201cLouis XVI-style vanities.\u201d Upstairs are additional bedrooms, a skylighted lounge and a home office.<\/p>\n<p>The townhouse stands in prime Carroll Gardens.
