Principal casting has been revealed for the world tour of Les Mis\u00e9rables: The Arena Concert Spectacular, which will
\n make its North American premiere this summer\u00a0at Radio City Music
\nHall, playing\u00a0July 23-August 9.<\/p>\n
Alfie Boe<\/a> (La Boh\u00e8me<\/a>), Killian Donnelly<\/a> (Kinky Boots<\/a>), and Ger\u00f3nimo Rauch (Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/a>: The 25th Anniversary) will alternate in the role of Jean Valjean, while Bradley Jaden (Stephen Sondheim\u2019s Old Friends) and Jeremy Secomb<\/a> (Evita) will share the role of Javert. They will be joined by Samantha Barks<\/a> (Pretty Woman: The Musical<\/a>, Les Mis\u00e9rables film adaptation) as Fantine, Matt Lucas (Les Mis\u00e9rables: The 25th Anniversary) as Th\u00e9nardier, Marina Prior (The Phantom of the Opera) as Madame Th\u00e9nardier, Jac Yarrow (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as Marius, Beatrice Penny-Tour\u00e9 (The Book of Mormon<\/a>) as Cosette, Shan Ako (Les Mis\u00e9rables 40th anniversary West End) as \u00c9ponine, and Christian Mark Gibbs<\/a> (Camelot) as Enjolras.<\/p>\n These artists will lead an onstage company of cast and orchestra members of over 65. Mackintosh said in a statement, \u201cI am absolutely delighted to announce a wonderful line up of international Les Mis\u00e9rables stars who will be appearing during the grand finale dates of the Les Miz\u00a0Arena World Tour in Dublin, Birmingham, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and at Radio City Music Hall in New York during late spring and summer this year. Les Miz\u00a0fans will have a brilliant choice of their favourite performers \u2013 though many performances are already sold out. Les Mis hasn\u2019t played the Royal Albert Hall since the legendary 10th AnniversaryConcert. The almost two-year run of the spectacular World Tour has played over 300 performances in 30 cities and broken box office records across the globe\u2014don\u2019t Miz out on the last remaining tickets!\u201d<\/p>\n Following a record-breaking two-year run since opening in Belfast in September 2024, the new dates\u00a0mark the end of the official 40th anniversary celebrations of\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables. \nClaude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg<\/a>, based on the novel by Victor Hugo<\/a>. It has music
\n by Sch\u00f6nberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer<\/a>, original French text by
\nBoublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton<\/a>, and
\nadaptation by Trevor Nunn<\/a> and John Caird<\/a>. <\/p>\n
\nStephen Brooker<\/a>, with original orchestrations by John Cameron<\/a>. The
\nproduction is directed by James Powell<\/a> and Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy,
\ndesigned by Matt Kinley<\/a>, with costumes by Andreane Neofitou<\/a>, Christine
\nRowland, and Paul Wills, lighting by Paule Constable<\/a> and Warren Letton<\/a>,
