Pelham Art Center invites artists of all ages and experience levels to ignite their creativity this summer with an expansive lineup of weekday classes, immersive camps, and hands-on workshops running July through early September. From foundational drawing and painting to digital creation, this season offers an exciting and diverse lineup of programs\u2014welcoming preschoolers, youth, teens, and adults into a vibrant shared space of exploration, imagination, and artistic growth. Registration for Summer 2026 opens for members on Wednesday, April 15 and opens to the public on Wednesday, April 22.<\/p>\n

Beginning July 6, Pelham Art Center will offer programs designed for every age and skill level\u2013from early childhood creative exploration to advanced artistic practice. In addition to traditional art forms, the growing excitement for digital media and creative technology in today\u2019s modern world has driven the Pelham Art Center to bring back its packed Digital Art Intensives this summer. These immersive camps for students ages 8+ reached full capacity every week last summer, underscoring their popularity and the demand for young learners to once again dive into various softwares including Procreate, Scratch, 3D modeling, animation, and game design through week-long programs that consistently achieve full enrollment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alongside these highly sought-after digital offerings, the Center continues to expand its beloved Art & Movement Camps, introducing dedicated programming for ages 6\u20139 in response to growing demand for camps tailored to older children earlier in the summer. These camps will run weekly from July 6 through August 14. Then, from August 17 through September 4, the 3\u20137 age group returns\u2014offering families a late-summer option to keep young children active, engaged, and creatively inspired after many other summer programs have concluded. Each week is designed as a captivating, joy-filled experience where young artists explore painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and more, alongside movement-based activities such as imaginative play, storytelling and improvisational games.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis summer, we\u2019re excited to offer a dynamic range of programs that invite both adults and young artists to explore, experiment, and grow creatively. From hands-on studio classes to innovative digital art camps and our Art & Movement camps\u2014which combine creative practice with play and movement\u2014our goal is to create an inclusive and inspiring environment where everyone can discover new skills, express themselves freely, and connect through art,\u201d said Director of Education, Alex Hernandez.<\/p>\n

Adult and teen students can choose from a diverse lineup of studio classes designed to inspire creativity and exploration. This summer\u2019s offerings include illustration, drawing, painting, photography, experimental classes, collage, ceramics, video game art & design, sketchbooking, mosaics, and more. Weekly classes for youth ages 5+ are offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays and include DJing, Ink & Watercolor, Comic Character Design, and Paper Animation. Led by experienced teaching artists, each class encourages experimentation, skill-building, and personal expression in a supportive studio environment.<\/p>\n

The season is further enriched by a selection of workshops and special experiences, including Art After Hours with Fiona Agababian, Gelli Printing & Collage workshops with Diane Boekman, Kintsugi with Tara DeLuca, and Encaustic Photography with Rebecca Dunn, offering single- and multi-session opportunities for participants to explore new materials, techniques, and creative approaches in an accessible, hands-on format.<\/p>\n
