{"id":198322,"date":"2026-04-15T17:48:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/198322\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T17:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:48:10","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-caught-on-camera-violent-arrest-made-inside-boreum-hill-liquor-store-investigation-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/198322\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Caught On Camera Violent Arrest Made Inside Boreum Hill Liquor Store Investigation Underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A violent arrest was captured on camera inside a liquor store in Boerum Hill on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">In an exclusive video obtained by News 12 you can see the moments a man is punched and kicked repeatedly by two officers. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">\u201cWhy are you punching him!&#8221; People can be heard screaming during the arrest. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">It all happened inside Brooklyn Wine Depot Corp. located at 214 Hoyt St. just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">After the initial struggle the two officers can be seen on top of the man instructing him to place his hands behind his back. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Blood can be seen on the floor of the store. The man was taken to the hospital for his injuries. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">At this time, it is unclear what led to the arrest. Police say an investigation is underway following the incident. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Mayor Mamdani has released a statement confirming the investigation saying the actions of the officers as \u201cdisturbing\u201d and \u201cunacceptable\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Wednesday she believes the officers in the video are now on modified duty following the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She also says an internal review is underway and will provide more information as the investigation unfolds. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A violent arrest was captured on camera inside a liquor store in Boerum Hill on Tuesday.
