A Department of Homeland Security employee was murdered by a convicted felon immigrant<\/a> who was\u00a0naturalized under the Biden\u00a0administration during a bloody killing spree in Georgia early this week, officials said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Lauren Bullis, who worked as an auditor for DHS\u2019s Office of Inspector General, was shot and stabbed in Atlanta when 26-year-old\u00a0Olaolukitan Adon-Abel\u00a0allegedly went on his deadly rampage on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Bullis, a 40-year-old auditor for the DHS, had taken her dog out for a stroll about 7 a.m. when she was targeted as part of three random attacks carried out by the madman across the Atlanta area, cops allege.<\/p>\n

Olaolukitan Adon-Abel was arrested and charged with killing two people and wounding a third during a random spree on April 13, 2026. DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office<\/p>\n

Adon-Abel\u2019s alleged rampage also killed another woman outside a Checkers restaurant\u00a0and critically injured a homeless man who was sleeping outside a Kroger store, according to authorities. \u00a0<\/p>\n

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin has since revealed the\u00a0alleged perp, who was born in the UK and became a\u00a0naturalized US citizen in 2022 under Biden,\u00a0already\u00a0had\u00a0a lengthy rap sheet prior to this week\u2019s bloodshed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe possesses a prior criminal record that includes convictions for sexual battery, battery against a police officer, obstruction, and assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and now stands accused of murdering [DHS] employee Lauren Bullis by shooting and stabbing her while she walked her dog,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese acts of pure evil have devastated our department and my prayers are with the families of the victim.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deadly spree started outside a Checkers restaurant on Wesley Chapel Road in Dekalb County when the suspect gunned down the first victim\u00a0around 1 a.m, cops\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

The woman, identified as 31-year-old\u00a0Prianna Weathers, died at a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n

Adon-Abel, who lives in Atlanta, then drove roughly 16 miles before he allegedly opened fire on a sleeping 49-year-old homeless man outside the Kroger grocery store in Brookhaven at about 2 a.m.<\/p>\n

His alleged spree ended several hours later when he shot and stabbed Bullis\u00a0some 15 miles away, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

A neighbor who ran out of her house after hearing the gunfire told 11 Alive it appeared as though the suspect was trying to sexually assault Bullis at the time.<\/p>\n

Bullis\u2019 family is searching for her dog,\u00a0Sancho, in the wake of the attack, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is apparent to us that this was a completely random attack,\u201d Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley said.<\/p>\n

Adon-Abel was\u00a0nabbed a short time later and slapped with a slew of charges,\u00a0including malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t immediately clear if\u00a0Adon-Abel\u2019s\u00a0prior convictions predated his arrival in the US.<\/p>\n

His criminal record includes a conviction from October 2024 in San Diego, California where he pleaded guilty to felony assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm on a police officer or firefighter.<\/p>\n

Exact details surrounding that arrest weren\u2019t immediately available but he was sentenced to probation.<\/p>\n

Just months later, he was then nabbed for groping\u00a0four women in Savannah, Georgia, in a matter of hours.<\/p>\n

At least one of the women Adon-Abel approached in that April 2025 incident had been walking her dogs at the time, records show.<\/p>\n

He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, three years\u2019 probation, and was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation following that saga.<\/p>\n

In the wake of his latest arrest in Atlanta,\u00a0the Homeland Security boss hailed the Trump administration\u2019s efforts in clamping down on giving citizenship to violent offenders.<\/p>\n

Bullis\u2019 dog, Sancho, has been missing since the murder.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince President Trump took office, @USCIS has implemented measures to ensure individuals with criminal histories and who otherwise lack good moral character do not attain citizenship,\u201d Mullin said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, authorities still haven\u2019t yet determined a motive for the latest crime spree.<\/p>\n

Homeland Security refused to comment further about the suspect but said the federal agency strongly condemned the slayings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened to confirm that Lauren Bullis, a beloved member of the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General team has tragically passed away,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a respected colleague whose contributions and presence will be greatly missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends, as well as to the families, friends, and communities of the additional victims.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her family issued a statement, too, describing Bullis as a \u201cselfless, kind and compassionate\u201d woman.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe deeply loved her family and found joy in running, reading and traveling,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
