This spring, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood\u2014the animated series inspired by Fred Rogers<\/a>‘ timeless lessons\u2014is coming to life at the Bronx Zoo<\/a> with a first-of-its-kind immersive experience.<\/p>\n

Running from May 22 through September 7, the new attraction invites families to step inside Daniel Tiger\u2019s world through interactive play, live entertainment, and meaningful moments designed to echo the heart of the original series.<\/p>\n

For longtime fans of Rogers, who died in 2003, the experience is more than just a kids\u2019 event\u2014it\u2019s a continuation of the values that made Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood so special. Themes like emotional awareness, empathy, and curiosity are woven throughout, now paired with wildlife education<\/a> and hands-on discovery.<\/p>\n

Live musical shows featuring familiar songs and messages<\/p>\n

A climbable, life-sized Trolley straight out of the Neighborhood<\/p>\n

A sensory-friendly replica of the iconic Music Wall<\/p>\n

A nature-themed seek-and-find walk through the zoo<\/p>\n

There will also be character meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, and bilingual programming to make the experience accessible and engaging for a wide range of families<\/p>\n

While the experience taps into the warmth of childhood memories, it also reflects how those lessons continue to evolve for a new generation. Just as Rogers once reminded viewers<\/a> to
“look for the helpers,” this interactive world encourages kids to explore their emotions, connect with others, and develop a sense of care for the world around them, including animals and nature.<\/p>\n

Access to the experience is included with admission to the Bronx Zoo, where visitors can also explore more than 11,000 animals across 265 acres of parkland.<\/p>\n
