A motorist was taken into police custody in the early morning hours of April 15 after crashing a car into a Brooklyn Park group home.<\/p>\n

According to Brooklyn Park police<\/a>, officers were dispatched at 3:05 a.m. to a crash at the corner of 77th and Regent avenues.<\/p>\n

Arriving officers found that a car had crashed into the bedroom of the home, which operates as a congregate care facility.<\/p>\n

The crash caused a gas leak and everyone in the home was evacuated. Brooklyn Park firefighters and CenterPoint Energy later shut off the gas leak.<\/p>\n

Police say the driver was treated for minor injuries and arrested.<\/p>\n

One person living in the home was also hurt, but police said the injuries were minor.<\/p>\n
