BROOKLYN, NY \u2014 Michelin unveiled its newest lineup of New York City restaurants earning a spot in the prestigious guide on Wednesday, with Brooklyn claiming the largest share of fresh additions. <\/p>\n
Michelin updates its guide twice a year, spotlighting newcomers that could later earn its coveted Star distinction when awards are announced in the fall. <\/p>\n
Some may also find themselves on the Bib Gourmand list\u2014an honor reserved for restaurants offering high-quality meals at approachable prices. <\/p>\n
This spring\u2019s update features nine newly recognized eateries, with Brooklyn edging out Manhattan for the most nods. <\/p>\n
For readers less familiar, the Michelin Guide is the internationally recognized dining authority that periodically grants its coveted Stars and other honors to standout restaurants around the world. <\/p>\n
Later this year, a regional ceremony\u2014encompassing New York and other Northeast cities along with Chicago\u2014will announce which of the latest contenders earn Stars or Bib Gourmands. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sibling concept to Fradei, the beloved Fort Greene bistro. I Cavallini, 284 Grand Street\u2014Located in Williamsburg across from its sibling restaurant The Four Horsemen, Chef Nick Curtola pivots here to a full Italian menu in an intimate setting. Los Burritos Juarez, 354 Myrtle Avenue \u2014 This Fort Greene favorite specializes in regional burritos seldom found in New York, highlighting border-style recipes from El Paso and Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez. Vato, 226 Seventh Avenue\u2014Created by the team behind Manhattan\u2019s Michelin-starred Corima, this Park Slope tortiller\u00eda and daytime bakery serves sourdough tortas filled with slow-braised beef cheek barbacoa, Chihuahuan-style burritos, pastries from Corima\u2019s Erick Rocha and Oaxacan coffee. <\/p>\n
